Compaction Criteria — Amendment to 3317.3: <br />A minimum of two finish compaction tests shall occur on each graded <br />building pad. They shall occur strategically at comers and/or also in the <br />central area of each building pad. Test results shall be submitted to the <br />Building Official or his/her designee. Grading operations shall include one <br />test per 1,000 cubic yards of fill or two feet of fill material, whichever is <br />greater. This criteria shall be applicable to all graded pads. Compaction <br />shall correspond with the building footprint in all cases. Building pads, <br />when located in areas established to be susceptible to earth movement <br />due to soil conditions, shall be required to be 95% relative compaction <br />(i.e., La Loma Hills/Reche Canyon Hills). <br />J. Specific Reports — Amendment to Section 3317.1: <br />Specific reports for graded fill areas depicted on the grading plan shall be <br />signed by the grading professional and/or geotechnical engineer and <br />submitted to the Building Official or his/her designee. The report's content <br />shall include the height of each compacted lift and that each lift has been <br />inspected and compacted in accordance with the applicable soils report <br />and Uniform Building Code. All fill areas shall be compacted to a minimum <br />of 90% relative compaction unless governed by Building Code <br />Amendment 3317.3. <br />K Section 106.2 is amended to read "Fences not over three (3) feet high." <br />L. Section 1924 is amended to require the following in all residential slabs: <br />(a) wire welded mesh 6" x 6' by 10 gauge; <br />(b) vapor barrier 6 mil.; and <br />(c) for engineered grading, recompaction of all plumbing trenches to <br />meet adequate compacting requirements as stipulated in the <br />compaction reports and determined by the Building Official or <br />his/her designee. <br />5 <br />
