The Historic Preservation Commission shall consist of seven (7) <br />members appointed in accord with the provisions of Chapter 2.30 of the <br />Colton Municipal Code. <br />B. Members of the Commission shall be appointed by the City <br />Council of city residents from among professionals knowledgeable in the <br />disciplines of history, architecture, architectural history, planning, prehistoric <br />and historic archeology, folklore, cultural anthropology, curation, <br />conservation, and landscape architecture or related disciplines, such as <br />urban planning, American studies, American civilization, or cultural <br />geography, to the extent that such professionals are available in the <br />community. Commission membership may also include lay members who <br />have demonstrated special interests, competence, experience, or knowledge <br />in historic preservation. <br />15.40.060 Commission --Procedure. <br />The following regulations shall govern the procedural matters of the <br />Historic Preservation Commission: <br />A. Officers: The Commission shall, at its first regular meeting in <br />January, elect a Chairperson and such other officers as the Commission may <br />deem advisable. <br />B. Internal Rules and Regulations: The Historic Preservation <br />Commission shall adopt such rules and regulations for its own organization <br />as are necessary to carry out the purpose and intent of this section, and <br />shall designate the time and place for the meetings of the Commission. <br />C. Regular Meetings: Minutes. The Historic Preservation <br />Commission shall keep records of all its actions and proceedings and shall <br />
