1 <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />ORDINANCE NO. 0-24-96 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON ADDING SECTIONS 9.36.020 TO CHAPTER 9.36 OF <br />THE COLTON MUNICIPAL CODE AND ADDING CHAPTER 9.38 <br />TO THE COLTON MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO DAYTIME <br />LOITERING OF MINORS AND THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A <br />POLICE SERVICES FEE FOR REPEAT MINORS CURFEW AND <br />LOITERING VIOLATORS <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1: Section 9.36.020 is hereby added to Chapter 9.36 of the Colton Municipal I <br />Code to read in its entirety as follows: <br />"9.36.020 Daytime loitering by minors prohibited. <br />No minor who is subject to compulsory full-time education or to compulsory <br />continuation education under State law shall loiter, idle, wander or be in or upon public I <br />streets, highways, roads, alleys, parks, playgrounds, or other public grounds, public I <br />places, public buildings, places of amusement, eating places, vacant lots or other places <br />away from his or her place of residence during those hours that his or her school is in <br />session. This section shall not apply if: <br />A. The minor is accompanied by his or her parent, legal guardian, or other adult <br />having legal custody of the minor, or <br />B. The minor is on an emergency errand directed by his or her parent, legal <br />guardian, or other adult person having legal custody of the minor, or <br />C. The minor is going or coming directly from or to his or her place of gainful <br />employment or to or from a medical appointment, or <br />
