1 <br />2 ORDINANCE NO. 0-06-97 <br />3 <br />4 AN URGENCY ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON AMENDING SECTION 3 OF ORDINANCE <br />5 NO. 0-02-97 TO CORRECT A CLERICAL ERROR <br />6 The City Council of the City of Colton does ordain as follows: <br />7 <br />SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Colton ("the City") finds, <br />8 <br />9 determines and declares: <br />10 A. On February 24, 1997, the City Council adopted Ordinance No. 0-02- <br />11 <br />97 regulating adult uses and repealing and replacing certain sections of the Colton <br />12 <br />13 Municipal Code regulating adult uses. <br />14 B. As a result of a clerical error, Section 3 of Ordinance No. 0-02-97 <br />15 inadvertently provided that "Chapter 18.48 is hereby repealed in its entirety and a <br />16 <br />17 new Chapter 18.49 is hereby added to the Colton Municipal Code....", rather <br />18 than "Section 18.48.010 of Chapter 18.48 is hereby repealed in its entirety...." <br />19 It was, and is, the intent of the City Council to repeal only section 18.48.010 of <br />20 <br />Chapter 18.48, in conjunction with other provisions also pertaining to adult <br />21 <br />22 businesses as specified in Section 4 of Ordinance No. 0-02-97, and not to repeal <br />23 sections 18.48.020 through 18.48.090, pertaining to amusement arcades, <br />24 <br />automobile service stations, condominiums, community apartments and stock <br />25 <br />25 cooperatives, fortunetelling, mobilehomes and office units, metal buildings, and <br />27 satellite dish antennas. <br />28 <br />1 <br />
