1 <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />follow natural and man-made boundaries to the extent possible, compactness and <br />Icontiguity, citizen input, population growth, and consideration of existing districts; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has concluded that the redistricting plan, attached as <br />Exhibit "A", best meets the City's redistricting criteria, complies with the Voting Rights <br />I Act, has the purpose of creating neighborhoods to bring people together, and <br />I minimizes the adverse impacts to citizens in existing districts. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE COLTON, CALIFORNIA <br />DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1: In accordance with California Election Code Section 21601, the <br />I City Council of the City of Colton hereby amends Section 2.02.080 of the Colton <br />Municipal Code (District Numbers and Boundaries) to read as follows: <br />2.02.080 District Numbers and Boundaries. There shall be six districts in the City <br />of Colton described in the map which is set forth in this chapter and which are more <br />particularly described as follows: <br />A. District 1 - All that land located in the City of Colton lying within the <br />following described boundaries: <br />Beginning at the intersection of the Ellen Street and the City of <br />Colton Corporate Boundary, Thence easterly along Ellen Street to <br />Watwood Street, Thence southerly along Watwood Street to <br />Johnston Street, Thence easterly on Johnston Street to Grand <br />Avenue, Thence southerly along Grand Avenue to Citrus Street, <br />Thence westerly along Citrus Street to Grand Avenue, Thence <br />Southerly along Grand Avenue to Long Beach Drive, Thence <br />westerly along Long Beach Drive to Latham Street, Thence <br />southerly along Latham Street to Laurel Street, also being a point <br />in the City of Colton Corporate Boundary, thence easterly and <br />southerly along the City of Colton Corporate Boundary, following <br />its various courses to its intersection with Agua Mansa Road, <br />Thence easterly along Agua Mansa Road to Rancho Avenue, <br />Thence southerly and easterly along Rancho Avenue to La <br />Cadena Drive, Thence southerly along La Cadena Drive to the <br />north line of the San Bernardino County Flood Control District <br />Right -of -Way as described in Official Records 7556-795, PCL. 61 <br />2 <br />
