Section 7.08.080 of Chapter 7.08 of the Colton Municipal <br />Code is hereby deleted in its entirety and restated to read as follows: <br />7.08.080 Animals -- Claimed by owner -- Fees paid to city. <br />If any animal picked up by the animal control officer or other public safety <br />personnel, pursuant to this chapter, is claimed by any owner, the owner shall be liable for <br />and shall pay to the city an apprehension fee in an amount determined by resolution of the <br />city council, together with any additional charges or fees levied by the city for the purpose of <br />defraying expenses incurred by the city related to the apprehension of said animal." <br />SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Ordinance <br />and cause the same or a summary thereof to be published within fifteen (15) days after <br />adoption in a newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in Colton, California, <br />and the Ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days after its enactment with the provisions of <br />California law. <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 16'h day of April, 2002. <br />ATTEST: <br />INA P.
