Section 2.30.020 of Chapter 2.30 of the Colton Municipal Code <br />is hereby deleted in its entirety and restated to read as follows: <br />"All commissions and committees of the city shall be comprised of seven <br />members appointed on the recommendation of each councilmember and the <br />mayor, and ratified by a majority vote of the city council. The city council may <br />also appoint up to two youth commissioners for each commission and <br />committee of the city. The position of youth commissioner shall be advisory <br />only and shall not vote on any matters brought before any commission or <br />committee. The presence or absence of youth commissioners shall have no <br />effect on the ability of a commission or committee to establish a quorum." <br />SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Ordinance <br />and cause the same or a summary thereof) to be published within fifteen (15) days after <br />adoption in a newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in Colton, California, <br />and the Ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days after its enactment with the provisions of <br />California law. <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 171h day of December, 2002. <br />�)O I �A -A 4 <br />DEIRDRE H.
