2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />ORDINANCE NO. 0-04-03 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COLTON AMENDING SECTION <br />2.18.010 OF THE COLTON MUNICIPAL CODE PERTAINING TO <br />THE DUTIES OF THE ELECTRICAL UTILITY DIRECTOR <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1: Section 2.18.010 of the Colton Municipal Code is hereby amended in <br />its entirety to read as follows: <br />"Section 2.18.010 Duties. <br />The electrical utility director of the city is authorized to <br />negotiate and execute, on behalf of the city, agreements with <br />privately owned, federally owned, state owned, and locally owned <br />utilities and agencies located in the states of California, Nevada, <br />Arizona, Utah, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, New <br />Mexico and Texas for the purchase and sale of natural gas, economy <br />energy, replacement energy, replacement capacity and transmission <br />service to deliver such energy and natural gas to Colton or such <br />other location as may be appropriate without competitive bidding." <br />SECTION 2: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Ordinance and cause <br />the same or a summary thereof to be published within fifteen (15) days after adoption in a <br />newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in Colton, California, and the Ordinance <br />shall take effect thirty (30) days after its enactment in accordance with the provisions of California <br />law. <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of May, 2003. <br />ATTEST: <br />C-AR4.RERA <br />City Clerk <br />0RANGE\KSD14403 <br />KELLYjqASTAIN <br />Mayor Pro Tempore <br />
