1 ORDINANCE NO. 0-06-03 <br />2 <br />3 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COLTON TO <br />REPEAL CHAPTER 3.32 OF THE COLTON <br />4 MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO IMPOSITION OF <br />A CONSTRUCTION TAX <br />5 WHEREAS, on October 18, 1977, the City Council of the City of Colton adopted Ordinance <br />6 No. 1522 establishing Section 3.32 of the Colton Municipal Code and authorizing the imposition of a <br />7 construction tax; and <br />8 WHEREAS, on October 21, 1997, the City Council of the City of Colton adopted Resolution <br />9 No. 3739 setting forth the rates of the construction tax; and <br />10 WHEREAS, on February 28, 1995, the City Council of the City of Colton adopted Ordinance <br />11 No. 0-03-95 amending Chapter 3.32 of the Colton Municipal Code relating to the imposition of the <br />12 construction tax; and <br />13 WHEREAS, the City Council nowwishes to repeal the construction tax, including Ordinance <br />14 No. 1522 and Ordinance No. 0-03-95 concerning the imposing of a construction tax. <br />15 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />16 SECTION 1: Chapter 3.32 of the Colton Municipal Code is hereby repealed and shall <br />17 be deleted in its entirety. <br />18 SECTION 2: Ordinance No. 1522 is hereby repealed. <br />19 SECTION 3: Ordinance No. 0-03-95 is hereby repealed. <br />20 SECTION 4: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Ordinance and cause <br />the same or a summary thereof to be published within fifteen (15) days after adoption in a <br />21 newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in Colton, California, and the Ordinance <br />shall take effect thirty (30) days after its enactment in accordance with the provisions of California <br />22 law. <br />23 PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED, this 20th day of May, 2003. <br />24 A J 'A 14A 4 V. llme�2�e <br />25 DEIRDRE H.
