R-110-86 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, <br />CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING REGULATIONS FOR CANDIDATES FOR ELEC- <br />TIVE OFFICE, PERTAINING TO MATERIALS SUBMITTED TO THE <br />ELECTORATE AND THE COSTS OF THE CANDIDATES'STATEMENT FOR <br />THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD IN THE CITY ON <br />TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 4, 1986 <br />WHEREAS, Section 10012 of the Elections Code of. the State of <br />California provides that the governing body of any local agency <br />7 adopt regulations pertaining to materials prepared by any candi- <br />$ ate for a municipal election, including costs of the candidates' <br />9 statement; <br />10 NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, <br />11 <br />HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE <br />AND <br />ORDER AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />12 <br />�OES <br />Section 1. GENERAL PROVISIONS. <br />That <br />pursuant <br />to Section <br />13 10012 of the Elections Code of the State of. California, each <br />14 candidate for elective office to be voted for at the General Mun- <br />15 icipal Election to be held in the City of Colton on November 4, <br />16 1986, may prepare a candidate's statement on an appropriate form <br />17 provided by the City Clerk. Such statement may include the name, <br />18 age and occupation of the candidate and a brief description of no <br />19 more than two hundred (200) words of the candidate's education <br />20 and qualifications expressed by the candidate himself or herself. <br />21 Such statement shall not include party affiliation of the candi- <br />22 date, nor membership or activity in partisan political organiza- <br />23 tions. Such statement shall be filed in the office of the City <br />24 Clerk at the time the candidate's nomination papers are filed. <br />25 Such statement may be withdrawn, but not changed, during the <br />26 period for filing nomination papers and until 5:00 p.m. of the <br />27 next working day after the close of the nomination period. <br />28 <br />
