1 <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22. <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />RESOLUTION No. R-7-140-86 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />APPROVING THE APPLICATION AND PROJECT AGREEMENT FOR <br />HISTORIC PRESERVATION GRANT FUNDS FOR THE CARNEGIE <br />LIBRARY PROJECT FROM THE CALIFORNIA PARK AND <br />RECREATIONAL FACILITIES ACT OF 1984. <br />WHEREAS, the Legislature under the California Park and Recreational <br />Act of 1984 has authorized the establishment of a Historic Preservation Grant <br />Program, providing matching funds to the political subdivisions of the State <br />for historic preservation projects; and <br />WHEREAS,, the California Office of Historic Preservation in the <br />Department of Parks and Recreation is responsible for the administration <br />of the program within the State, setting up necessary rules and procedures <br />governing application by local agencies under the program; and <br />WHEREAS, said adopted procedures established by the Department <br />of Parks and Recreation require the applicant to certify by resolution the <br />approval of applications and the availability of local matching funds prior <br />to submission of said applications to the State; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City <br />of Colton hereby: <br />1. Approves the filing of an application for the Historic Preservation Grant <br />assistance for project; and <br />2. Appoints the City Manager or his authorized deputy as agent of the City <br />to coordinate, process, and execute all contracts, agreements, amendments <br />and ancillary documents within the scope of the attached application; and <br />3. Agrees that all required local matching funds will be provided for the <br />project. <br />PASSED this 16th day of September, 1986. <br />ALBERT A.
