R-149-86 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF COLTON AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. R-49-86 <br />FOR THE PURPOSE OF AMENDING THE 1986-87 <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton elected to enter <br />into an agreement with the County of San Bernardino in order to receive <br />Community Development Block Grant Funds; and <br />WHEREAS, as a co-operating city the City of Colton will receive <br />$187,503 in Community Development Block Grant Funds for fiscal year 86-87; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Item No. 6 allocated $29,910 for the partial purchase of <br />a fire truck; and <br />WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency has indicated that the purchase <br />of the fire truck may be an eligible Redevelopment project; and <br />WHEREAS, the City recognizes the need to abate graffitti as a <br />blighting influence. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City <br />of Colton hereby reduces the amount budgeted for the fire truck from <br />$29,910 to $19,910 and creates funds in the amount of $10,000 for the <br />purpose of funding a graffitti abatement program to reduce blighting <br />influences in the targeted areas of the City as well as other locations <br />which are determined to be affected. <br />PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 7th day of October, 1986. <br />ATTEST: <br />LEN A.
