RESOLUTIONNO. R-166-86 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />CALLING FOR FORMATION OF A PROJECT AREA COMMITTEE <br />FOR THE MT. VERNON CORRIDOR REDEVELOPMENT <br />PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency for the City of Colton has formed a <br />redevelopment survey area and has found that said area requires study to determine if <br />a redevelopment project within said area is feasible; and <br />WHEREAS, the Colton Planning Commission adopted Resolution No. 3004 <br />designating the boundaries of the Mt. Vernon Corridor Redevelopment Project, and <br />adopting a preliminary plan for the redevelopment of the designated area; and <br />WHEREAS, Section 33385 of the California Health and Safety Code provides for <br />the formation of a Project Area Committee by a city council; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council desires to form a Project Area Committee, which <br />Committee will advise the Colton Redevelopment Agency (the "Agency") and consult <br />with the Agency regarding redevelopment planning and policy. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council for the <br />City of Colton as follows: <br />SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Colton hereby calls for the <br />formation of a Project Area Committee. <br />
