R-17-86 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF COLTON AMENDING THE 1981 CITY OF COLTON <br />GENERAL PLAN <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Colton did consider an <br />amendment to the General Plan for the City of Colton, Index No. G-4-85; and <br />WHEREAS, a Public Hearing was held on the proposed Amendment by the <br />Planning Commission on January 14, 1986; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed said General Plan Amendment and <br />the Resolution of the Planning Commission relating thereto in full and is <br />familiar with the contents thereof; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council gave notice of Public Hearing as required by <br />law; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council did hold said Public Hearing on February 18, <br />1986; and <br />WHEREAS, this Amendment pertains to the areas specifically described <br />within the text of the "Agua Mansa Industrial Corridor Specific Plan" and <br />generally described as south of Interstate 10, west of Rancho Avenue, and <br />north of the Santa Ana River; and <br />WHEREAS, the General Plan of said area is being amended from the land <br />use designations of Industrial Park, General Industrial, Agricultural, Public/ <br />Quasi -Public, and Open Space to Specific Plan (SP) for areas specifically <br />described in the text of the "Agua Mansa Industrial Corridor Specific Plan." <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL does hereby find, determine and <br />order as follows: <br />1. The proposal is in conformance to the General Plan. <br />2. The Specific Plan will insure orderly development of the area. <br />3. Property owners and residents in and around the area will bene- <br />fit by this Amendment. <br />
