RESOLUTION NO. R-170-86 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />(Title of Governing Body; i.e., City Council, Board of Supervisors) <br />Of CITY OF COLTON APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDS <br />(City, County, District) <br />UNDER THE COMMUNITY PARKLANDS ACT OF 1986 for the following project(s). <br />1 Cnnctructinq raetrnnme 7 Rpplacinq handhall COurt6 <br />Rich Dauer Park Vataranc Park <br />(Attach separate sheet for additional projects) <br />WHEREAS, the people of the State of California have enacted the Community <br />Parklands Act of 1986, which provides funds to the State of California and its <br />political subdivisions for acquiring and developing facilities for public recrea- <br />tional and historical purposes; and <br />WHEREAS, the State Department of Parks and Recreation has been delegated the <br />responsibility for the administration of the program within the state, setting up <br />necessary procedures governing application by local agencies under the program; and <br />WHEREAS, said procedures established by the State Department of Parks and <br />Recreation require the applicant to certify by resolution the approval of applica- <br />tion s) before submission of said application(s) to the state; and <br />WHEREAS, said application(s) contain assurances that the applicant must comply <br />with; and <br />WHEREAS, the applicant agency will enter into an agreement with the State of <br />California for acquisition, development, rehabilitation or restoration of the project(s); <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Cit,y Cnrincil hereby: <br />(Title of Governing Body) <br />1. Approves the filing of an application for Community Parklands Act of 1986 state <br />grant assistance for the above project(s); and <br />2. Certifies that said agency understands the assurances and certification in the <br />application form; and <br />3. Certifies that said agency has or will have sufficient funds to operate and <br />maintain the project(s); and <br />4. Certifies that said agency will complete the project(s) within three years from <br />date of approval by the state; and <br />i. Appoints the City Mana9ar as agent of the <br />(Title - not name) <br />City to conduct all negotiations, execute and submit <br />(City, County, District) <br />all documents including but not limited to applications, agreements, amendments, <br />payment requests, and so on, which may be necessary for the completion of the <br />aforementioned //project(s). <br />ATTEST: � _ GG . �_ � <br />FRANK A.
