R-174-86 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF COLTON, CALIFORNIA, SUP- <br />PORTING THE RIVERSIDE -CORONA RESOURCE <br />CONSERVATION DISTRICT'S SOILS CURRICULUM. <br />WHEREAS, Land Use and Resource Management choices impact <br />quality of living and economic prosperity of our community and <br />nation; and <br />WHEREAS, Citizens of a free nation need a basic understand- <br />ing of the workings of nature and resource conservation in order to <br />able to make the critical decisions needed to conserve their nation' <br />resources; and <br />WHEREAS, a comprehensive Soil. Conservation Education Progra <br />is being developed by this community's Resource Conservation Distric <br />with the help of individuals, groups and agencies; and <br />WHEREAS, the effects of soil conservation education benefit <br />every resident of the City of Colton. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, WE, the City Council of the City of Colton <br />encourage all residents to support and aid in the development and us <br />of the Riverside -Corona Resource Conservation District's Soil Conser <br />vation Curriculum for area schools, and Outdoor Learning Center dem <br />strating soil conservation and wise land use. <br />THIS PROCLAMATION HELPS LAUNCH A COMMUNITY CAMPAIGN FOR SOI <br />CONSERVATION EDUCATION WITH THE RESULTS OF WISE LAND USE AND WELL <br />MANAGED RESOURCES. <br />City Clerk <br />PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 2nd day of December, 1986 <br />Mayo <br />
