R-43-86 <br />WEED ABATEMENT, FINDING, DEIERMINING AND <br />DECLARING INSUFFICIENT OBJECTIONS OR PRO- <br />TESTS TO THE REMOVAL OF PUBLIC NUISANCE. <br />WHEREAS, a resolution was adopted by the City Council of the <br />City of Colton, California on the 18th day of March, 1986, declaring weeds <br />growing upon streets or sidewalks or upon private property and rubbish, refuse <br />or dirt upon parkways, sidewalks or private property within the City of Colton <br />to be a Public Nuisance and providing for the abatement therefore; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Clerk was directed to cause to be mailed to <br />the owners of the property on which or in front of which such nuisance exists <br />in accordance with the Weed Abatement Law (Chapter 13, Title 4, Division 3, <br />Government Code and amendments thereto) of the State of California; and <br />WHEREAS, said notices have been mailed in accordance with said <br />act as set forth in the affidavit of the City Clerk on file in her office; and <br />WHEREAS, said Resolution and notices fixed, determined and de- <br />clared that a hearing would be held on the 1st day of April, 1986, in the <br />Council Chambers in the Civic Center, Colton, California at the hour of <br />7:30 p. m. of said day, at which time any person having any objections or pro- <br />tests to make concerning the removal and destruction of said weeds, rubbish, <br />refuse or dirt may appear and be heard; and <br />WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed in such notice a hearing was <br />Iduly held by this City Council and all persons desiring to be heard thereon <br />were heard and the City Council gave all persons present an opportunity to be <br />heard. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City <br />lof Colton as follows: <br />The City Council does hereby find, determine and declare that <br />notices for the destruction of said weeds and the removal of rubbish, refuse <br />or dirt have been mailed in the form and manner prescribed by the aforesaid <br />act and that said notices were in the form and substance required by said act <br />
