R-50-86 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />REMOVING THE CITY MANAGER <br />WHEREAS, Phillip Elliott, who holds the positions of Police Chief <br />and City Manager, has became ill, has applied for retirement effective July <br />1, 1986, and is and will continue to be disabled pending retirement; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that, for said reasons, he should <br />be removed as City Manager. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Colton resolves <br />as follows: <br />Phillip Elliott is removed as City Manager effective forthwith. <br />Pending his retirement, Phillip Elliott is placed on industrial disability <br />leave. He is continued in his position as Police Chief. His compensation <br />is fixed at the rate of $4,212 per month. In addition, he shall be paid <br />deferred compensation at the rate of 2.147%. He shall have fringe benefits <br />as follows: health insurance, dental insurance, long-term disability, and <br />City -paid PERS contribution. He shall not have stand-by pay or uniform <br />allowance. <br />Paul Connolly shall continue as Acting Police Chief as previously <br />authorized and without change in status by reason of the adoption of this <br />resolution. <br />ADOPTED: April 15, 1986 <br />ALBERT A.
