Colton City Council will adopt a resolution approving the waiver of various <br />business expenditure fees for targeted businesses. <br />Estimated Date of Implementation August 18, 1986 <br />Businesses which will participate in the Job Training Partnership program, working <br />with the County Department of Manpower Services and the City of Colton <br />Redevelopment Agency staff will have certain type fees waived by the City. <br />The Job Training Partnership Act (JTPA) directs federal, state and local officials <br />to use federal funds to prepare economically disadvantaged and long-term <br />unemployed people to become productive labor force members. The County of San <br />Bernardino operates this program through agreements with participating businesses. <br />The City of Colton will bear the costs of waiving various business expenditures to <br />all of those various City businesses located in the City's proposed Enterprise <br />Zone Areas who are willing to sign an On the Job Training Agreement with the <br />County of San Bernardino Manpower Services Department. <br />The following fees are the subject of the waiver: <br />A) Building permit and plan check fee <br />B) Business license fee (First Year Only) <br />The waiver does not exclude businesses from obtaining the necessary building <br />permits or license fees, for any fee waived by the City. The fee waivers are <br />an incentive by the City of Colton for businesses to expand into desired areas. <br />
