After the above mentioned operation on all road- <br />ways, or portions thereof, having an improved surface other than <br />dirt roadways, or parkways, the top surface of the backfill shall <br />be covered with not less than 1" or more than 2" of pre -mixed bitt <br />minous materials, and shall conform to the level of the adjoining <br />street surface, and shall be compacted so that it is hard and <br />smooth enough to permit traffic to pass over at the legal rate of <br />of speed. <br />E. Thirty days after the temporary pavement has been <br />placed the company doing the excavating work shall place the <br />permanent pavement. <br />F. Minimum width of excavation shall be determined <br />as follows: A) main lines one foot.
