R-11-87 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF COLTON AUTHORIZING FILING SUIT OPPOSING <br />RIALTO TIRE BURNING PLANT AND AUTHORIZING FUNDS THEREFOR <br />MiERFAS, a project has been proposed to build a tire burning plant <br />in the City of Rialto; and <br />6aHREAS, it appears that the environmental impact and public health <br />impact of the proposed project have not been mitigated. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Colton resolves as <br />follows: <br />The filing of a lawsuit opposing the .proposed project by <br />Best, Best & Krieger, Attorneys, on behalf of the City of Colton, <br />jointly with other cities and counties against appropriate parties, <br />is authorized and approved. <br />The payment of $5,000 forthwith on account of fees and costs <br />therefore is authorized. <br />PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED this 20th day of January 1987. <br />Attest: <br />yea.
