R-156-87 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON CALLING A SPECIAL ELECTION AND SUBMITTING TO THE VOTERS OF COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT NO. 87-1 A PROPOSITION WITH RESPECT TO THE ANNUAL LEVY OF SPECIAL TAXES WITHIN SAID COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT TO PROVIDE POLICE PROTECTION AND FIRE PROTECTION AND SUPPRESSION SERVICES THEREIN AND TO PAY PRINCIPAL AND INTEREST ON BONDS THEREOF, AND A PROPOSITION WITH RESPECT TO THE ESTABLISHMENT OF AN APPROPRIATIONS LIMIT FOR SAID COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 53325.1 of the California Government Code, the City Council (the "City Council") of the City of Colton ("the City") has adopted Resolution No. R-154-87, the resolution of formation of Community Facilities District No. 87-1 of the City of Colton, County of San Bernardino, State of I ;California (the "Community Facilities District"), establishing the Community Facilities District and the boundaries thereof; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 53351 of said Code, the !,City Council has also adopted Resolution No. R-155-87 deter - !mining that it is necessary that the Community Facilities Dis- trict incur a bonded indebtedness in an amount not to exceed $3,500,000 for the purpose of financing the design, acquisition, construction, expansion, rehabilitation, and equipping and fur- nishing, as appropriate, of certain public facilities (here- inafter described) within and for the Community Facilities (District, and setting a special election thereon for January 5, 1988; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 53326 of said Code, it is !necessary that the City Council submit to the voters of the
