R-19 -87 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, <br />DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER ANNEXATION NO. 6 <br />TO THE CITY OF COLTON LANDSCAPING AND LIGHTING MAINTENANCE <br />DISTRICT NO. 1 DECLARING THE WORK TO BE MORE THAN LOCAL OR <br />ORDINARY PUBLIC BENEFIT; SPECIFYING THE EXTERIOR BOUNDARIES <br />OF THE AREAS TO BE ANNEXED, AND TO BE ASSESSED THE COST AND <br />EXPENSE THEREOF; DESIGNATING SAID AREAS AS A PORTION OF CITY <br />OF COLTON LANDSCAPING AND LIGHTING MAINTENANCE DISTRICT NO. 1; <br />DETERMINING THAT THESE PROCEEDINGS SHALL BE TAKEN PURSUANT TO <br />THE LANDSCAPING AND LIGHTING ACT OF 1972; AND SETTING A TIME <br />AND PLACE FOR HEARING OBJECTIONS THERETO <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton, (this <br />"City Council") has received a written request for annexation of <br />Tracts #12887 and 12888 to the City of Colton's Landscaping and <br />Lighting Maintenance District No. 1 pursuant to the Landscaping <br />Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972 (California Streets and <br />Highways Code Section 22500 et. seq. "the Code) and this <br />City Council has agreed to initiate proceedings to complete such <br />annexation; and <br />WHEREAS, this City Council wishes to order Annexation No. <br />6 to the City of Colton Landscaping and Lighting Maintenance <br />District No. 1 pursuant to Article 2 of the Landscaping and <br />Lighting Act of 1972 of the Code and levy and collect annual <br />assessments within the areas so annexed; and <br />WHEREAS, the Engineer of Work has prepared and filed with <br />the City Clerk a report containing the matters specified in Sectioi <br />22567, et. seg., of the Code; and <br />WHEREAS, this City Council has read, reviewed and approve( <br />the Engineer of Work Report as filed; and <br />WHEREAS, the public interest and convenience require the <br />maintenance servicing and operation of landscaping and appurtenant <br />
