R-65-87 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF COLTON GRANTING THE APPEAL <br />OF LINCOLN JEWELERS, INDEX NO. V-3-87. <br />The Appeal of Lincoln Jewelers of the Planning Commission <br />action on Index No. V-3-87 was heard June 2, 1987, and the City <br />Council of the City of Colton finds and resolves as follows: <br />The sign proposed by applicant was approved by the <br />Planning Commission pursuant to and in accordance <br />with the recommendation of its Staff. <br />There is no dispute as to the sign being appro- <br />priate for a Variance. <br />There is a tree in front of the applicant's place <br />of business. The tree renders the proposed sign <br />useless by blocking it from view. <br />Applicant requires a visible sign as proposed in <br />order to operate a successful business. <br />The Appeal is granted.
