R-89-87 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF COLTON RELATING TO THE COUNTY OF <br />SAN BERNARDINO'S APPROVAL OF IMPROVEMENT <br />DISTRICT "A" <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the California Health and Safety <br />Code Sections 4600, et seq., the City Council of the City of <br />Colton requested the Board of Supervisors of the County of San <br />Bernardino to consent to the formation of Improvement District <br />"A"• and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of <br />San Bernardino by resolution on July 6, 1987, consented to <br />the formation of Improvement District "A" subject to the City's <br />adoption of a resolution providing for indemnification of the <br />County; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF COLTON as follows: <br />Section 1. The City of Colton hereby agrees to defend, <br />indemnify and hold the County of San Bernardino, its elected <br />officials and employees free and harmless from any and all <br />damages, losses, claims and actions of any kind whatsoever, arisinE <br />out of or in connection with the negligent acts and omissions of <br />the City of Colton, its elected officials, officers, employees <br />and agents in connection with the formation of the City of Colton': <br />Improvement District "A" and the County of San Bernardino's <br />approval thereof. <br />Section 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and <br />directed to forward a certified copy of this resolution to the <br />
