R-94-87 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF COLTON AUTHORIZING CITY OF COLTON <br />PARTICIPATION IN THE OMNITRANS BUS <br />SHELTER PROGRAM <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton is an active member of <br />Omnitrans with a member on its Board of Directors; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton's representative parti- <br />cipated in the process which resulted in the current Omnitrans <br />program for bus shelters; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton has been allocated eight <br />bus shelters in the first phases of this program, four of which <br />are currently ready for installation; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council <br />of the City of Colton hereby authorizes the City's participation <br />in the Omnitrans bus shelter program, and further authorizes <br />Omnitrans through its contractor, Inter -City Shelters, to install <br />and maintain bus shelters with advertising in the City of Colton <br />at locations which are mutually acceptable to the City and <br />Omnitrans. All such installations shall be in accordance with <br />the terms and agreements contained within the contract between <br />Omnitrans and Inter -City Shelters. The City reserves the right <br />to withdraw from the program should either Omnitrans or its <br />contractor fail to honor the terms of said agreement. <br />PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 21st day of July, 1987. <br />FATTEST: <br />HELEN A.
