R-128-88 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />AMENDING THE PERSONNEL SYSTEM <br />RULES AND REGULATIONS <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON, that Rule IX Method of Filling Vacancies, Section 1. <br />Types of Appointment is hereby amended as follwos and shall <br />be effective December 20, 1988: <br />"All vacancies in the competitive service shall <br />be filled by re-employment, reinstatement, transfer, <br />demotion, permanent part-time, or from eligibles certified <br />by the Personnel Clerk from an appropriate employment or <br />promotional list, if available. The appointment of <br />permanent part-time employees is limited to only entry <br />level positions and employees who have worked a minimum of <br />780 hours. Permanent part-time employees appointed to a <br />full-time position will receive a minimum of 5% increase in <br />salary and will serve a six month probationary period." <br />PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 20th day of <br />December, 1988. <br />ATTEST; <br />HELEN A.
