FJ; icy <br />OF THE -CITY OF COLTON <br />The City of Colton (the "City") has a fiduciary responsibility to mximize the <br />productive use of assets entrusted to its care and to invest and manage them <br />wisely and prudently. The City shall pursue broad spectrum of investment oppor- <br />tunities that are prudent and allowable under current legislation of the State <br />of California and City ordinances. <br />The City shall be aware of the social and political impacts of its investments, <br />and act responsibly in making its financial decisions. <br />The City shall not knowingly make any investments in any institution, company, <br />corporation, subsidiary or affiliate that practices or supports directly or <br />indirectly discrimination on the basis of race, religion, color, creed, national <br />or ethnic origin, age, sex, sexual preference, Or physical disability. <br />The City shall strive to make investments that benefit the local area, that are <br />consistent with municipal plans and policies, and that promote community econom- <br />ic development. <br />The City shall strive to maintain the level of investment of all idle funds as <br />near one hundred percent (100%) as possible, through daily and projected cash <br />flow determinations. Idle cash management and investment transactions may be <br />made in the following media: <br />Securities of the U. S. Government or its agencies <br />
