R-139-89 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF COLTON, AMENDING AND ADOPTING LOCAL <br />GUIDELINES FOR IMPLEMENTING THE CALIFORNIA <br />ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY ACT AND REPEALING <br />RESOLUTION NO. 3696 <br />WHEREAS, the Calitornia Legislature has amended the <br />CaIitOrn ia Environmental Quality Act; and <br />WHEREAS, Section 21082 of the California Environmental <br />Quality Ac_t. I"CEQA"1 requires all public agencies to dopt <br />nhjectives, criteria and procedures for the evaluation of public <br />and private prn3ects undertaken or approved by such public <br />agencies, and the preparation, if required, of environmental <br />impact renort.s in connection therewith: and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton must <br />revise its Ior_al guidelines for implement.ing CEQA to make their <br />consistent, with the current provisions of CEQA. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of <br />the City of Colton as follows; <br />SECTION ONE: Adoption of Local CEQA Guidelines. The <br />City Council of the City of Colton hereby adopts "Local <br />C3uide.lines for Implementing the California Environmental Quality <br />Act 1.19814 Revisionl," a copy of which is on file at the City <br />Council offices and is available for inspection by the public. <br />SECTION TWO: Prior Actions Repealed. All prior <br />actions of the City COUnclI enacting earlier guidelines are <br />hereh,r repealed including, but not limited to, Resolution No. <br />3696. <br />
