R-14-89 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON REQUESTING TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE FROM <br />THE CALIFORNIA ENERGY COMMISSION ENERGY PART- <br />NERSHIP PROGRAM TO CONDUCT ENERGY AUDITS OF <br />CITY BUILDINGS. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton has a commitment to <br />energy efficiency in City facilities; and <br />WHEREAS, energy audits of City facilities will <br />help identify cost effective energy saving opportunities; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Senate Bill 880 has provided funds to <br />the California Energy Commission (CEC) for energy support <br />to local governments through the Energy Partnership Program; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton qualifies to participate <br />in the CEC's Energy Partnership Program; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton recognizes that assis- <br />tance will allow better use of limited staff resources and <br />expertise to deal with energy matters. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: <br />That the City of Colton Electric Department file <br />an application with the California Energy Commission for <br />participation in its Energy Partnership Program. <br />APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of February, 1989. <br />i <br />FRANK A.
