R-156-89 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON, APPROVING FILE INDEX NUMBER D 90-89, A <br />CHANGE OF STREET NAME FROM RIVERSIDE AVENUE TO <br />VETERANS WAY <br />WHEREAS, the American Legion, Post Number 155, has requested the <br />Street Name Change; and <br />WHEREAS, the applicant purports that the existing name is <br />confusion to their members and guests, due to their existence of <br />Riverside Avenue in the City of Rialto, State of California; and <br />WHEREAS, the City did duly notify all affected property owners; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council does recognize the confusion as <br />purported. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City <br />of Colton, does hereby authorize that the southwest portion of <br />Riverside Avenue south of Citrus to Rialto Avenue be changed to <br />"Veterans Way". <br />PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED <br />this 5th day of December, 1989 <br />ATTEST: , /J <br />HELEN A.
