R-34-89 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF COLTON AFFORDING SUPPLEMENTAL <br />COMPENSATION TO THE CITY CLERK AND AMENDING <br />RESOLUTION NO. R-124-88. <br />WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 1572 fixes the salary for the position <br />of City Clerk at $370 per month, and authorizes the City Council to <br />provide, by Resolution, supplemental compensation for added duties; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the current City Clerk, Helen Ramos, performs duties <br />in addition to those identified in Ordinance No. 1572, notably <br />Risk Management and Records Management Coordination. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DOES <br />HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. Supplemental compensation for the City Clerk, Helen Ramos, <br />shall be fixed at the sum of $3,224 per month, in addition to the <br />sum of $370 per month provided by Ordinance No. 1572, for a total <br />compensation amount of $3,594 per month. <br />2. Supplemental compensation is specifically authorized for <br />the performance of City Clerk, Helen Ramos, of the above noted <br />duties. Should these duties be transferred to another department <br />or City Official or Staff Member, this authorization for additional <br />supplemental compensation of $250 shall cease, unless specifically <br />so reauthorized by the City Council in light of the City Clerk's <br />actual responsibilities. <br />3. Supplemental compensation shall not be provided to subse- <br />quent City Clerks, unless so authorized by the City Council. <br />4. In addition to salary, the City Clerk shall be provided <br />the benefit package provided to Staff Members of the Executive Unit. <br />
