1 <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />I��?�l�tiylii��i� Nfa�L•1�S] <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF COLTON APPROVING THE SUBMISSION <br />OF A PROPOSAL UNDER THE CALIFORNIA BEVERAGE CONTAINER <br />RECYCLING AND LITTER ETr:DUCTION ACT <br />W MAS, the Legislature of the State of California has enacted <br />the California Beverage Container Recycling and Litter Reduction Act which <br />provides funds to certain entities for litter abatement and recycling <br />activities; and <br />WHEREAS, the Division of Recycling has been delegated the <br />responsibility for the administration of the program, setting up necessary <br />procedures governing the submission of proposals by various organizations <br />and local agencies under the program; and <br />WHEREAS, said procedures established by the Division of Recycling <br />require the proposer to certify by resolution local approval to submit a <br />proposal prior to submission of said proposal to the state; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL: <br />1. Approves the submission of a proposal for funding under the <br />Division of Recycling's Litter Abatement and Recycling <br />Activities Contracts Program; and <br />2. Fully supports all projects within said proposal; and <br />3. Certifies that proposed project is compatible with the County <br />Solid Waste Management Plan (CoS4V1,P); and <br />4. Certifies that said agency understands the general provisions <br />of the sample contract agreement; and <br />5. Authorizes the Human Services Director as agent of the City <br />to conduct all negotiations, execute and submit all documents <br />including but not limited to proposals, contract agreements, <br />amendments and payment requests, which may be necessary for <br />the completion of the aforementioned program; and <br />6. Certifies that the proposed project does not replace previous <br />City budgeted projects. <br />PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 18th day of April, 1989. <br />(ATTEST: <br />x/ Q-Gm.m/ <br />City Clerk <br />
