R-67-89 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />APPOINTING LESLIE KEANE CITY MANAGER <br />WHEREAS, Frank Benest has resigned as City Manager <br />and such resignation has been accepted and his appointment <br />terminates at the end of the day, May 26, 1989. <br />WHEREAS, the interval prior to May 26, 1989, does <br />not permit a deliberate selection process. The City Council in- <br />tends to take the time that is required to make the decision <br />selecting a new City Manager, and <br />WHEREAS, it is necessary to provide interim <br />management between the date of the departure of Frank Benest <br />and the selection of his successor. Accordingly the City Council <br />is acting now to make the appointments set forth below and is <br />doing so with the intent to select a new City Manager and appoint <br />that person upon completion of the selection process. <br />NOW, THEREFORE the City Council of the City of <br />Colton, California appoints Leslie Keane as City Manager of the <br />City of Colton effective at the end of the day, May 26, 1989. <br />The salary is fixed at: $5,169. per month. <br />Salary <br />Range A B C D E <br />City Manager 8.0 5169 5427 5699 5984 6283 <br />Employees. <br />Benefits shall be as provided City Executive <br />1 <br />
