R-9-90 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF COLTON APPOINTING CITY MANAGER. <br />WHEREAS, Leslie Keane has resigned as City Manager and such <br />resignation has been accepted, and her appointment terminates at <br />the end of the day, February 16, 1990. <br />WHEREAS, the interval prior to February 16, 1990, does not <br />permit a deliberate selection process. The City Council intends to <br />take the time that is required to make the decision selecting a <br />new City Manager; and <br />WHEREAS, it is necessary to provide interim management be- <br />tween the date of the departure of Leslie Keane and the selection <br />of her successor. Accordingly, the City Council is acting now to <br />made the appointment set forth below and is doing so with the in- <br />tent to select a new City Manager and appoint that person upon com- <br />pletion of the selection process. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Colton, <br />California, appoints Jerry Young as City Manager of the City of <br />Colton effective at the end of the day, February 16, 1990. <br />The salary is fixed at: $5,427 per month. <br />Salary <br />Range A B C D E <br />City Manager 8.0 5169 5427 5699 5984 6283 <br />Benefits shall be as provided City Executive Employees. <br />The amount of the Bond is fixed at $10,000. <br />In the event that the person above appointed City Manager is <br />unable to exercise the duties of City Manager by reason of disabil- <br />ity, absence or the like, then Stephen Edwards is designated to <br />perform such duties during such period of disability or absence. <br />
