R-32-90 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />APPOINTING EDMUND SOTELO AS COLTON CITY MANAGER. <br />WHEREAS, By Resolution No. R-9-90 adopted February 6, 1990, <br />the City Council of the City of Colton appointed Jerry Young as <br />City Manager pending the process of selection of another person <br />for that position; and <br />WHEREAS, the said selection process is now complete, and <br />by that process, the Council has determined that Edmund Sotelo <br />should be the new City Manager, and the Council wishes to <br />implement the transition of the City Manager position to Edmund <br />Sotelo who will be available to undertake those duties on <br />May 14, 1990. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Colton <br />resolves as follows: <br />Edmund Sotelo is hired as City Manager effective May 14, <br />1990. The salary is fixed at 6,702.08 per month. The amount <br />of bond is fixed at $10,000. <br />It is further resolved that effective on beforesaid date, <br />the appointment of Jerry Young as City Manager is terminated. <br />Jerry Young is reinstated to the position of Financial Services <br />Manager. In the event of the inability of the designated <br />City Manager to exercise the same by reason of disability, <br />absence, or the like, Stephen Edwards is designated as the <br />person authorized to exercise said powers and duties. This <br />resolution shall not affect Stephen Edwards' appointment as <br />City Attorney. <br />
