R-42-91 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF COLTON, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING <br />A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH THE COUNTY <br />OF SAN BERNARDINO REGARDING <br />HOST COMMUNITY INFRASTRUCTURE AND <br />ENVIRONMENTAL MITIGATION FUND <br />WHEREAS, there is a county landfill operating <br />within the incorporated boundary of the City of Colton and <br />said landfill adversely affects the City and fees are <br />collected by the County from the users of the landfill and <br />such fees should be used to alleviate adverse conditions <br />resulting from the presence of the landfill. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of <br />Colton resolves as follows: <br />Section 1. City staff is authorized and <br />directed to negotiate a memorandum of understanding between <br />the City and the County as to the Host Community <br />Infrastructure and Environmental Mitigation Fund (HCIEMF). <br />Section 2. The County of San Bernardino is <br />hereby requested to cooperate with Colton City staff in <br />reaching agreement in this matter. <br />
