R-67-91 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF COLTON EXPANDING <br />THE AGUA MANSA ENTERPRISE ZONE <br />WHEREAS, The State of California has enacted AB 251 allowing existing State - <br />designated Enterprise Zones to expand zone areas by 15 %; and <br />WHEREAS, the expansion area for each city, county or city and county shall not <br />exceed fifteen percent (15 %) of the geographical area within its boundaries originally designated <br />as an Enterprise Zone, but the expansion need not occur all at once; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton has received a request from Southern Pacific <br />Transportation Company to annex its proposed intermediate running repair locomotive facility, <br />approximating 22.42 -acres, into the Agua Mansa Enterprise Zone; and <br />WHEREAS, the location of the proposed locomotive facility is contiguous to the <br />existing Agua Mansa Enterprise Zone and meets criteria provided as expansion regulations. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of <br />Colton does hereby authorize and make application for a fifteen percent (15 %) expansion to <br />include approximately 22.42 -acres of the proposed Southern Pacific Transportation Company's <br />locomotive repair project site, shown as Exhibit "A" of this Resolution. <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND <br />Attest: <br />Helen A.
