RESOLUTION NO. R-82-91 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON PROVIDING FOR THE ADMITTANCE OF THE CITY OF FULLERTON TO IN THE AUTHORITY 10604SF Z C—'jY WHEREAS, the City of Colton (the "City") is a municipality duly organized and existing under the Constitution and laws of the State of California ("State") [or the Charter of the City]; and WHEREAS, the Cities of Alhambra, Arcadia, Azusa, Baldwin Park, Bell, Colton, Costa Mesa, Culver City, Downey, E1 Monte, E1 Segundo, Gardena, Glendora, Hawthorne, Hermosa Beach, Huntington Park, Indio, Inglewood, Lynwood, Manhattan Beach, Monrovia, Monterey Park, Redondo Beach, San Fernando, South Gate, Upland, Vernon, West Covina and Whittier, California, have joined together to form the Independent Cities Risk Management Authority ("Authority"); and WHEREAS, the City of Fullerton has applied for membership in the Authority with its approval to membership contingent upon approval by the existing member cities, its compliance with the provisions of the Independent Cities Risk Management Authority Joint Powers Agreement ("Joint Powers Agreement") and the conditions of admittance as determined by the Independent Cities Risk Management Authority Board ("the Board"); WHEREAS, the Board has approved Fullerton's admittance to membership in the Authority; and WHEREAS, this City Council is of the view that admitting additional qualified members to membership in the Authority, benefits this Citv and all members of the Authoritv; NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Colton as follows: 1. Approval to Membership of the City of Fullerton. This City approves the amendment to the Joint Powers Agreement to admit the City of Fullerton membership in the Authority subject to all conditions of admittance as determined by the Board.
