R-89-91 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF COLTON PROVIDING FOR THE DESIGNATION OF <br />THE HISTORICAL STRUCTURE LOCATED AT 449 NORTH <br />6TH STREET (SANTA FE DEPOT) <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton has an Ordinance establishing <br />rules and regulations governing the designation and perpetration <br />of historic and scenic properties (Ordinance No. 0-11-87); and <br />WHEREAS, the Historic and Scenic Preservation Commission did <br />consider at a duly and legally held public hearing the <br />designation of the historic landmark at 449 North 6th Street; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the Historic and Scenic Preservation Commission <br />having studied and researched the said designation recommends <br />approval of said designation based on the finding that the <br />structure had significant character, interest, and value as part <br />of the development and heritage of the City of Colton; and <br />WHEREAS, said structure to be designated is delineated as <br />follows: <br />Landmark #6 - Santa Fe Depot <br />449 North 6th Street <br />Located on Assessor's Parcel # 162-091-02 <br />WHEREAS, a public hearing has been duly and legally held by <br />the City Council on September 17, 1991 on the aforesaid <br />recommendation of the Historic and Scenic Preservation <br />Commission; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the <br />City of Colton that, based on the above findings, the structure <br />located at 449 North 6th Street (Santa Fe Depot) is historically <br />significant and should be designated as a permanent historic <br />property in the City of Colton. <br />
