1 <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />11' <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />2( <br />2i <br />2f <br />Resolution No. R-97-91 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF COLTON IN SUPPORT OF AND <br />ENDORSING SAN BERNARDINO COMMUNITY <br />COLLEGE DISTRICT, 1991 BALLOT ISSUE OF <br />BONDS - MEASURE "L" <br />WHEREAS, considering the increasing number of Colton residents <br />have been well served by San Bernardino Valley College <br />and Crafton Hills College; and, <br />WHEREAS, due to the increasing stature of California's community <br />colleges, and due to the dramatic increases in tuition <br />at California's public and private universities, in- <br />creasing numbers of high school graduates and adults <br />from the City of Colton will be attending San Bernardin <br />Valley College and Crafton Hills College; and, <br />WHEREAS, due to the financial crisis in the State of California, <br />community colleges will not be able to construct the <br />additional classrooms necessary to accommodate these <br />students; and, <br />WHEREAS, for only an addtional sixty-four cents per month on the <br />average residence and for only twenty-eight cents for <br />the first year, San Bernardino Valley College and <br />Crafton Hills College will be able to construct the <br />additional classrooms necessary. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and Council of <br />the City of Colton support and endorse MEASURE "L" for <br />the San Bernardino Community College District on the <br />November 5, 1991 ballot. <br />PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 22nd day of October, 1991. <br />f <br />F A.
