1 <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />RESOLUTION R -M-9<?. <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON TO AWARD CONTRACTS FOR THE DEMOLITION OF <br />SEVERAL DANGEROUS STRUCTURES. <br />WHEREAS the Community Development Department has the duty to <br />safeguard the health and safety of the public and assure that <br />unsound structures are removed for that purpose; and <br />WHEREAS the Community Development Department has properly <br />noticed all parties involved; and <br />WHEREAS the property owners have not heeded the demands of <br />the Community Development Department to correct or abate these <br />dangerous structures; and <br />WHEREAS a bidding process was followed in conformance to <br />City Policy; and <br />WHEREAS such process has yielded the following quotes for <br />property: <br />1475 North Redlands Avenue <br />840 East "G" Street <br />380 West 'E' street <br />822 East Fairway Drive <br />1359 Holly Street <br />WHEREAS the City Clerk will assure that the City is <br />reimbursed all costs related to this abatement action by filing <br />liens on these properties. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the <br />City of Colton does hereby authorize the City Manager to enter <br />into contract with Presco, Inc. for the amounts mentioned. <br />further the "Transfer of funds" form known as Exhibit "A" is <br />authorized for approval by the City Manager. <br />
