R-17-92 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF COLTON CITY COUNCIL <br />E%PRESSING CONCERN FOR THE CITIZENS OF COLTON <br />REGARDING THE CITY OF LOMA LINDA SUBDIVISION <br />KNOWN AS CRESTA LINDA. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton has identified Reche Canyon as an <br />area requiring special consideration by adopting the Reche Canyon <br />specific Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, the Plan indicates concern over the traffic <br />problems currently existing on Reche canyon Road; and <br />WHEREAS, the Plan also expresses the need for development <br />which is sensitive to environmental concerns and more specifically <br />mass grading and erosion of the natural landscape; and <br />WHEREAS, the plan expresses a need for interjurisdicitional <br />cooperation; and <br />WHEREAS, the Cresta Linda tract proposes an urbanized <br />atmosphere with 7,200 square foot lots; and <br />WHEREAS, the Cresta Linda Tract proposes mass grading and <br />destruction of the natural landscape; and <br />WHEREAS, the Cresta Linda Tract will exacerbate the traffic <br />congestion on Reche Canyon road; and <br />WHEREAS, the traffic impacts must be mitigated with <br />infrastructure and rerouting plans; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton City Council would like the <br />opportunity to further review the proposed plan and the mitigation <br />measures of the Environmental Impact Report; and <br />WHEREAS, the quality of life of Colton residents will be <br />detrimentally affected by the Cresta Linda Tract. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Colton hereby <br />resolves that it would be in the best interest of the City of <br />Colton, the Citizens of Colton, the Residents of Reche Canyon, <br />
