R-99-92 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />APPROVING AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE JOINT EXERCISE OF <br />POWERS AGREEMENT CREATING AN AGENCY TO BE KNOWN AS THE <br />SAN BERNARDINO REGIONAL AIRPORT AUTHORITY <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton, California (the "City"), <br />is a municipal corporation duly organized and existing under the <br />Constitution and Laws of the State of California; and <br />WHEREAS, the City is a member of the San Bernardino <br />Regional Airport Authority ("Authority") which is a joint powers <br />authority formed by the legislative bodies of its members <br />pursuant to a certain agreement entitled "Joint Exercise of <br />Powers Agreement Creating An Agency To Be Known as The San <br />Bernardino Regional Airport Authority" ("Agreement") in <br />accordance with Section 6500, et seg., of the California <br />Government Code; and <br />WHEREAS, the Authority was created primarily for the <br />purposes of acquiring, operating, repairing, maintaining and <br />administering the aviation related portions of the Norton Air <br />Force Base as a public airport; and <br />WHEREAS, the City deems it appropriate to change the <br />name of the Authority to the San Bernardino International Airport <br />Authority, and the name of the Commission of the Authority to the <br />San Bernardino International Airport Authority Commission for <br />marketing purposes; and <br />
