1 devastated the area economically, and; <br />2 WHEREAS, the San Bernardino area offers an affordable housing <br />3 market and many other welcome attributes to new employees, even <br />4 beyond the sizeable labor force already available, and; <br />5 WHEREAS, situating of a Defense Accounting Center at Norton <br />6 FB enjoys enthusiastic county-wide support, because it becomes a <br />7major employer and economic asset throughout our far-flung county <br />8 and in the multi-county region, and; <br />9 WHEREAS, the City of Colton will find itself and its workforce <br />10 similarly benefitted by the location of such a center. <br />11 NOW, THEREFORE, the City of Colton joins in supporting and <br />12 endorsing the proposal by the Inland Valley Development Agency and <br />13 urges the Department of Defense to approve location of a Defense <br />14 Accounting Center at the site of Norton Air Force Base. <br />15 PASSED and ADOPTED this 5th day of January, 1993. <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 FRA A.
