R-91-93 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF COLTON AMENDING <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2240 <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, <br />CALIFORNIA, that Resolution No. 2240 establishing Personnel System <br />Rules and Regulations for the City of Colton, is hereby amended as <br />follows with the addition of SECTION 6 to RULE VIII EMPLOYMENT <br />LISTS and shall be effective as of September 8, 1993. <br />"SECTION 6. PART-TIME TEMPORARY EMPLOYEES: Part-time <br />temporary employees do not have to be on an employment list to <br />be hired. Any such employee hired before September 8, 1993, <br />who serves a minimum of 1000 hours of satisfactory service in <br />a City of Colton job classification and meets the minimum <br />qualifications listed on such job description is automatically <br />eligible for consideration for appointment to vacant regular <br />part-time and full-time positions in the same job <br />classification. Such employee shall be considered as being on <br />a current employment list for such classification. Part-time <br />temporary employees hired on or after September 8, 1993, who <br />are later appointed to regular part-time and full-time <br />positions, must be on a current employment list for such <br />classification at the time of appointment." <br />PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 7th day,of September, 1993. <br />ATTEST: <br />HELEN RAMOS, CMC <br />City Clerk <br />B8:2240RES <br />
