R-05-94 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF COLTON APPROVING THE NEW COMMUNITY <br />DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROJECT, "CONSTRUCTION <br />OF A KIDDIE SWIMMING POOL AND POOL DECK" AND <br />AUTHORIZING THE REPROGRAMMING OF COMMUNITY <br />DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS FROM THE CITY <br />CONTINGENCY/ UNSPECIFIED LOCAL OPTION TO THE <br />PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton has developed <br />a new community improvement project entitled, "Construction of a <br />Kiddie Swimming Pool and Pool Deck" and wishes to utilize Community <br />Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds for its construction; and <br />WHEREAS, the proposed project is an important component and <br />complements a proposed new Community Recreation Center which will <br />be located in an area that will serve a majority of the City's low <br />and moderate income residents; and <br />WHEREAS, the County of San Bernardino Department of Economic <br />and Community Development has informed the City that sufficient <br />Community Development Block Grant funds are available in the City's <br />Contingency/Unspecified Local Option account to assist with the <br />construction of the project. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the <br />City of Colton approves the project, "Construction of a Kiddie <br />Swimming Pool and Pool Deck" and authorizes the Reprogramming of <br />Community Development Block Grant funds in the following manner: <br />1. Colton: Contingency/Unspecified Local <br />Option (Transfer from) $ 320,000 <br />2. Construction of Kiddie Swimming Pool <br />and Pool Deck (Transfer to) $ 320,000 <br />
