R-111-94 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />APPROVING AND ADOPTING THE ANNUAL APPROPRIATIONS <br />LIMIT FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1993-94 <br />WHEREAS, the voters of California, on November 6, 1979, added Article XIII -B to the <br />State Constitution placing various limitations on the appropriations of the state and local <br />governments; and <br />WHEREAS, Article XIII -B provides that the appropriations limit for the fiscal year 1993-94 <br />is calculated by adjusting the base year appropriations of fiscal year 1978-79 for changes in the <br />cost of living and population; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton has complied with all the provisions of Article XIII -B in <br />determining the appropriations limit for fiscal year 1993-94,; and <br />WHEREAS, The City of Colton must make the necessary determinations regarding the use <br />of a cost -of -living index change and the population index change beginning in fiscal year 1993-94. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the appropriations subject to limitation in <br />year 1993-94 shall be $24,399,922 for the City of Colton, and BE IT FURTHER <br />RESOLVED, that for fiscal year 1993-94, the City of Colton selects the California percentage <br />change in per capita income as its cost -of -living index change as determined by the California State <br />Department of Finance and that henceforth the City of Colton selects the population index change <br />the County of San Bernardino as a whole as its population index change. <br />
