R-112-94 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF COLTON APPOINTING THE CITY MANAGER AND <br />SETTING COMPENSATION <br />WHEREAS, In accord with the provisions of the California Government Code and with Chapter <br />2.16 of the Colton Municipal Code the City Council is authorized to appoint a City Manager and <br />to set compensation for that position by Resolution; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton is a general law city of the State of California; and <br />WHEREAS, the position of City Manager is vacant and the City Council now finds it is <br />necessary and beneficial to appoint a City Manager from those applicants who have been <br />recruited and evaluated for the position. <br />NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DOES <br />HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1. Nabar Enrique Martinez ("Martinez") is hereby appointed as City Manager <br />of the City of Colton to serve for an indefinite term at the pleasure of the City Council in accord <br />with the provisions of Section 2.16.020 of the Colton Municipal Code. <br />SECTION 2. Compensation for services provided by Martinez as City Manager is set <br />by this Resolution in accord with Section 2.16.060 of the Colton Municipal Code at $100,000 <br />per year in salary together with full City Executive Employee benefits as set forth in Resolution <br />R-84-93 or any subsequently enacted resolution setting benefits for Executives of the City. <br />
