2 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Colton <br />3 <br />opposes Proposition 187; and, <br />4 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Colton seeks a <br />I <br />5 responsible dialogue on the immigration issue including a greater emphasis <br />6 on servicing political asylum cases, legal residency and citizenship cases to <br />7 accurately determine status; development of tracking system for all points of <br />8 entry into this country; and deportation of undocumented persons convicted <br />9 <br />of felony crime; and, <br />10 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk be instructed to <br />11 transmit a copy of this resolution to every city and county in the State of <br />12 California and the Democratic and Republican nominees for statewide <br />13 <br />office. <br />14 PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 20th day of September, <br />15 1994. <br />16 �t.wLTG <br />17 FRANK A.
